I am interested to know what happened to this Trawler, any help is appreciated.

According to an Italian source (Franco Bargoni, Tutte le navi Miltari d'Ialia 1861 - 1986) the French trawler "Dauphin", built in 1891 by Mackie & Thompson, Glasgow, became the "Delfino II" of the Italian Navy somewhat earlier: acquired and in service 1.7.1915! She was renamed "Tuono" in 1917, stricken 10.6.1920 and subsequently sold to O.N.C. at Naples.
In my opinion the date 1915 sounds correct, for a "Delfino III" came in service 21.12.1916.
Interesting !
See below an entry in the Lancashire FLOAT website which seems to tie in with what you said. However, the only bit that doesn't tie in is the Defino II bit. If you take that out, it all sort of works:
Ruby 1891-1913 (Ratified by the card index taken from the Companies records).
Dauphin 1913-1915 (Trawler at Arcachon)
Dauphin II 1915-1917 (Flotille de l'Atlantique)
Tuono 1917-1920 Italy
Fiume 1920 - 1923/24 (SUNK)!
Any further information on 'Stricken'
Who is O.N.C. Naples?
Afterall the change of name from Dauphin II to Tuono mid ownership doesn't really work.??
On 25 May, 1915, nine French trawlers of relatively recent (and mostly British) construction were transferred by France to the Regia Marina. This was just one day after Italy's entry into the war, so it is a fair assumption that it was something done to facilitate that event, Italy's ranging herself alongside the Intesa.
The boats were at first chartered or loaned to Italy by the Marine Nationale, which had requisitioned them (mostly at La Rochelle) with the express purpose of the Italian transfer; two years later, in 1917, they were stricken by the French Navy and sold outright to Italy.
This is also demonstrated by the fact that at first most of them in the Regia Marina took over names which were a simple (temporary) Italicisation of their French ones, and only after their purchase they changed them.
