Ex. Wrangel Minesweepers CURUBAS and SKIFF

Bonsoir,

I am looking for informations about the fate of the former Russian minessweeper CURUBAS and SKIFF (both built 1914 by Bellino-Fenderich, Odessa of 100t) and used as mineweeper with diffferent "T" numbers by the Imperial Russian Navy and Wrangel Fleet. After evacuation of the Black Sea the following details appeared

20.12.1922: left İstanbul for Marseille under French flag 10.04.1923: arrived at Marseille and laid up

I wonder if those two small vessels were ever bought by Marine nationale? Any details of their post-1923 fate are highly welcomed!

Dans l'ouvrage de Marc Saibène, La flotte des Russes blancs, Marines Editions, 2008, le Skiff est considéré comme un remorqueur (construit en 1914, 250 t, 27 m, td 2,8 m , 250 cv, 12 noeuds). Il est indiqué comme ayant rallié Marseille en convoi le 10 avril 1923. Son sort ultime n'est pas précisé. Quant au Curubas, il ne figure pas dans ce livre. Il ne semble pas que ces deux navires aient été incorporés dans la marine française.
