(With the raising of heavy artillery as decreed on 15 April 1914, the 3e and 7e batteries became the 7e and 8e batteries of the 1er régiment d’artillerie lourde, and the 6e batterie became the new 3e batterie stationed at Dunkerque and Boulogne. The transistion period for the changes necessary for creating the new heavy regiments was from 1 May to 1 July 1914.)

(This regiment was disbanded in 1914 to provide assets for the newly raised heavy regiments, the 9e batterie becoming the 9e batterie of the 1er régiment d’artillerie lourde, and the 2e, 8e, and 5e batteries becoming the 7e, 8e, and 9e batteries of the 2e régiment d’artillerie lourde. The 4e, 1re, 6e, 7e, and 3e batteries became the 4e, 5e, 6e, 7e, and 8e batteries of the 3e régiment d’artillerie à pied.)
