Bonjour,

Re: PRESIDENT FRAISSINET
The "Président Fraissinet" was owned by the SFND = Société Francaise de Navigation Danubienne, a French company for the navigation on the Danube with about a dozen tugs (mostly screw, but some paddletugs, too) and about 50 barges.
But I don't have any information about her fate, with the exception that she was part of the fleet which escaped into the Black Sea, while the bulk was seized and used by the Axis during the war.
Here is a picture of another tug if SFND, the "Jean Millot", buil 1886, off Linz.

Re: PRESIDENT FRAISSINET
By the way: As I saw it was based at Paris and Braila. Do you know the port of registery for those vessels?
Re: PRESIDENT FRAISSINET
Pictures taken after the war show the "Amiral Lacaze" with port of registry Paris, while "Pasteur" and "Jacques Vuccino" show Braila.
By the way, "Pasteur" is now at Strasbourg as part of a (seemingly defunct) shipping museum, while "Frédéric Mistral" is a floating museum at Wien: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frederic_M ... 8Schiff%29.
