Je n'ai pas trace d'un vapeur Aggeliki par contre il y a quantité de Angeliki mais aucun qui ait été coulé en oct 1916. Il se peut qu'il s'agisse d'un navire qui ait été endommagé par une torpille ou une mine, échoué puis renfloué. Si c'est le cas l'incident est encore plus difficile à identifier et à corréler. Cela dit, il existe à Vincennes un dossier sur le sujet avec un nom orthographié Angheliki, réf. 18/2245 (possiblement une erreur d'orthographe) mais d'après l'absence de mention en colonne remarques du fichier, il ne semble pas que ce navire ait été perdu.

C'est uniquement « pour mémoire » que j'ai cru utile de procéder à la transcription des mentions du Journal de navigation du contre-torpilleur Mameluck se rapportant à cet Angeliki, ou, alias, Angheliki. Et je n'ai encore rien trouvé à son propos dans les documents de bord d'autres bâtiments de l'Armée navale. Mais il convient de ne pas désespérer...

C'était l'intitulé d'une photo d'une cérémonie faisant suite au naufrage de l'Aggeliki, sans autres renseignements.
Un autre site parle d'un article du journal "Empros" concernant le naufrage de l'Aggeliki à proximité de l'îlot Fleves (sans doute Phléva), le 17 octobre 1916 ( date ancien calendrier grégorien):

Il semble que ce navire n'a pas été torpillé mais a coulé sur une mine posée par l'U 73 de Gustav Siess, le 27/10 au Sud de cet îlot.
(correspondance entre calendriers,...+11 jours=28 ???).

Tout à fait intéressant ! Grâce à ces documents on va avancer bcp plus vite sur ce vapeur Aggeliki, Angeliki, Angheliki. Reste à déterminer laquelle orthographe est la bonne. A remarquer également que le navire a été très probablement seulement endommagé car aucun vapeur de ce nom n'a été coulé dans ces dates là.

"Aside from the perception that torpedoings had caused the sinkings of S/S Burdigala and HMHS Britannic, a passenger ship sunked earlier, the Angeliki (706 GRT, belonging to the Giannoulátos Bros. – Ionian Steamers) on 29th October 1916 and S/S Kiki Isaia (2,993 GRT, belonging to G. Isaias and K. Zalokóstas) on 31st October 1916, near Fleves island in the Saronic Gulf, exactly the area were on 27th October the U 73 had laid the minefield Νr. 31, these were also viewed as torpedoings. In relation to the sinking of P/S Angeliki , the press confidently reports by a headline boldly titeled “The heartbreaking tragedy of steamer Angeliki – torpedoed at night in Fleves island by a submarine”. In the case of S/S Kiki Isaia the headlines were more cautious, posing the question, “Torpedoed or struck on a mine?”. In the latter case, the reports were based on the ship’s Captain Stamátis Sachtoúris (last grandson of national Greek revolution hero from Hydra, Geórgios Sachtoúris), who argued that, “I heard the wheezing sound of a launched torpedo”, resulting in a tendency to view the sinking as torpedo caused. Hence even some time later, the sinkings of the Angeliki and Kiki Isaia were believed to be more likely as torpedoings. But these were just other cases for which no German submarine commander had made any post-war claims for alleged torpedoings; owing to the provision and location of the minefield, the German Admiralty considered that at least for the case of S/S Kiki Isaia, as being sunk after impact on a mine placed by the U 73. Nevertheless, we believe that the sinking of P/S Angeliki was also a result from a collision with a mine laid by the submarine U 73."

29th Octobre 1916, moins 13 jours = 16 Octobre 1916, le jour de Angeliki coulé.

Can you check if the steamers SPETZAI and/or SPARTI are damaged on 20.11.1916 in the same area?

According to british sources it was just the SPARTI, SPETZAI is just mentioned in Lloyds War Losses of WW 1...

Would be fine if you can have a look, to get the records straigth for U 73 !
