Bonjour,
Concernant la medaille dite d'outre mer il s'agit en fait de la médaille coloniale crée avec effet rétrocatif le 26 juillet 1893 , la medaille d'outre mer fut crée en substitution de la coloniale le 6 juin 1962 avec le même ruban et la même médaille mais l'inscription au verso medaille d'outre mer en lieu et place de coloniale c'etait une appelation plus en rapport avec l'evolution du fait de la dispatrition des colonies

One last thing I have also got the unofficial medals that my Grandfather would have been entitled to - they are:
The Aisne, Somme, Verdun, Marne, Argonne, 50th & 60th commemorative medals
Id there an order of precedence for these or ecause they are unofficial, they have no order ?
I have also seen a barette "VERDUN" on the first world war commemorative medal - are you entitled to that if you were at Verdun in 1917 not 1916 ?

I would like to know where I can buy some full size medal ribbon for the 60th commemorative medal of the 14-18 war it is blue white red flnked by the croix de guerre ribbon on either side.
I would also like to know where I can buy the medal rods with balls at each end that the French used to mount their medals.
I would also like to know if there was a sepcial badge to denote whetehr you were a telephoniste or in the Compagnie Hors Rang ?
