Can anyone please tell me if William Yelton's regiment was in the vicinity of Malard Wood, just North of the river Somme, south of Morlancourt on 9th August 1918.

I am in contact with William Yelton's great great great grandson, who is in the process of joining the forum now.

Hello, although not a direct line descendant, William Yelton was my great granduncle. I am trying to trace through my Ancestry UK tree to find the descendants of his two children, but it is proving difficult for now. I shall keep trying.
