Bonjour,
j'aimerais une photo de la tombe de ces 2 soldats américains tués dans mon petit village ardennais Vaux-Champagne en octobre 1918.
- In the town of Vaux Champagne, the Pvt Gerald Johnson, Battery E, 15th F.A., Second Division, was killed by a high explosive shell with time fuse. Tombe 163 dans le cimetière américain de Romagne sous Montfaucon.
- The Thomas Lee Coates, company C, 143rd Infantry, 36th Division was killed October 15, 1918 and buried at Vaux Champagne; later his remains wre re-entered in the Arlington National Cemetery
Y aurait-il des photos de ces soldats et du village de Vaux-Champagne dans les archives de leur unité ?

je vous remercie beaucoup pour ces très intéressantes informations en réponse à ma question.
Alvin, j'ai un problème, je ne peux ouvrir vos photos. Pouvez-vous me dire comment les voir?
Michel, par vos références, je découvre que le PVT Gerald Justin Johnson ne repose plus à Montfaucon mais est rentré aux USA en 1921. Sur la pierre tombale, il est possible de lire le nom de mon petit village familial "Vaux-Champagne", c'est très émouvant.
