I have a friend who has written a letter in accurate French which I am hoping to use to make contact with individuals in France!

Fernet Nicolas qui découvre sur carte le futur tracé du Canal Seine Nord lors d'une enquête publique qui impactera négativement ses terres agricoles proches de la Maisonnette et en conséquence le parcours de votre ancêtre sur le terrain. A noter que ces futurs travaux ne seront pas mis en exécution avant quelques années...(avis personnel).
