Hi egbert,

1. Could it be Neuviller la Roche ?
2. I found nothing (except a glacier in Switzerland)
3. One Steinbach in Alsace (Haut-Rhin) and one "ancienne commune française de la Moselle" : http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steinbach
4. Steinthal is the german name for Ban-de-la-Roche : http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ban_de_la_Roche

Regards.

It says clearly Neuviller-Kopf and according to the picture series must be somewhere between Tete de Faux and down south to HWK via Linge

Next enigma: what is the name of this town. All above and coming questions could be close/around LingeImage

Schwarzberg could be "le Noirmont" (863), north of the Linge.

Try the "IGN" maps (very detailed) at this address :

Hello again :)

I found Eichenrain east from the Linge. It is called "Rain des chênes" (I understand the French "rain" as a "wood edge").

You can see it on the IGN map (enter the name "Hohrod" in the field "Entrer une commune" on the link I gave above).

Regards.
