Bonjour à tous,

Ce soldat de l'escadrille MF 63 mort à Charny/Meuse, à été inhumé le 12 mars 1916 sur la Commune de Thierville, prés de Verdun.

Il a été exhumé le 29 décembre 1919, réinhumé le même jour au cimetière N.O de Fromeréville les Vallons.
S'avez-vous où etait basé cette escadrille ?
Etait-il dans un avion, ou a t'il été tué au sol ?

A cette date l'escadrille 63 est à Souilly.

Le 12 Mars 1916 semble avoir été un jour de grande activité pour l'escadrille MF 63-Ce jour là Le Capitaine Henri d'Aragon ,commandant de l'escadrille a été tué (blessé puis décédé a l'ambulance 9/3 a Verdun)

Deux autres pilotes ont été blessés le Mdl Jean Cellière et l'adj chef Georges Loviconi
Il n'est pas indiqué sur la fiche du Capitaine D'aragon qu'il a été blessé suite à un combat d'avion-Pareil pour les deux autres pilotes (sur le CCC du 12 mars)

Le soldat Nève Georges ne faisait pas partie du personnel navigant (il était conducteur) raison pour laquelle il n'est pas signalé comme blessé dans le FASWC ?

Je ne trouve pas de traces de l'activité de la MF 63 de jour là(peut-être
Albin ?),
Simple supposition:Le terrain aurait été attaqué ce jour là ou bombardé
ce qui expliquerait la mort du soldat Névé bien que ne faisant pas partie du personnel naviguant , et le fait qu'il n'est pas fait mention de combat aérien pour les 3 autres pilotes ?

Bonsoir, en cherchant des infos sur Mdl Cellière et Adjt Chef Loviconi, je trouve cette discussion. En peu tard, mais je sais confirmé qu'ils étaient les victimes de Oswald Boelcke et son 10ième victoire.
Ceci est une partie de mon nouveau livre sur lequel je suis entrains de travailler, donc prière de ne pas copier ce texte pour d'autres sites.
La personne dont je parle est donc Oswald Boelcke :

On the 12th he took off at about 11 AM to chase of two enemy French Farman biplanes that were doing recon over the Mort Homme (which was captured two days later by the Germans).
To his surprise Boelcke saw four enemy planes instead of two when he arrived, and when two of them went back over the French lines, he saw a chance to score once more ! He says that the two French planes stuck together like glue, but that he concentrated his fire o none of them while the other one was trying to get behind him. He says that the one he attacked was wriggling like an eel to escape from him. Meanwhile the fight was getting lower and lower and at a heighth of 500 meter Boelcke now saw his chances to finish him of. His enemy didn’t seem to do any efforts any more to get away, and when he got close enough and wanted to fire on him, the MG jammed, in his excitement Boelcke pulled the trigger to hard, and this one got stuck also !
As the second French plane had not given up yet, Boelcke decided to get the hell out of there and made it back to Sivry after the Frenchmen had given up near the Cote de Talou, which is a bend in the Meuse River.
Afterwards it became clear that the pilot had been heavily wounded but still managed to get his plane down in the eastern surroundings of Marre, where it was smashed up in the landing. The observer quickly ran to the village and came back with a some men and a stretcher to get his comrade out of the plane. The plane was later destroyed by German artillery.
This was a farman from MF63 with the Maréchal de Logis Jean Cellière and Adjudant-Chef Georges Locivoni. The french escadrille was at Souilly at the time.
It was a sad day for the unit as the same day Capitaine Henri d'Aragon ,commandant of the escadrille was also killed. Possoibly he was in the other plane attacked by Boelcke, but this is a bit in conflict with what Boelcke said, as the second plane was still trying to attack him…
