Le 16 juillet 1918 le DH9 D469 du 27 th squadron a été abattu lors d'une mission de bombardement à basse altitude au Sud Est de Dormans
Le pilote Lt Lt Horace Gilbert Stanley Phipson et le 2nd Lt Norman Littlewood Conway Auster ont été tués

He was Lt H G S Phipson .He is buried at Dormans French National Cemetery "
