Bonjour

I do not think you are not going to have any luck looking for her records with the Red Cross if she was a nurse at the American Ambulance in Neuilly. The International's Red Cross was not affiliated with the American Ambulance Hospital of Paris. The American Ambulance Hospital of Paris, was a private, independent hospital, entirely financed by American contributions. It was formed in August 1914. The directors of the American Hospital of Paris (formed in 1906) offered their hospital to the French government to aid the wounded as soon as the war began. The initial idea was to emulate the American Ambulance Hospital that was created during the Franco-Prussian War of 1870 and erect hospital tents in the gardens that surround the hospital. The French government countered their offer and suggested they the Americans use the Lyceé Pastuer building instead. From that early beginning in 1914 the American Ambulance Hospital of Paris grew to become one of the premier hospitals in Paris. Because the Americans had dental surgeons on their staff, (a service most hospitals did not), the American Ambulance became the defacto institution for treating face and head wounds. The American Ambulance of Paris also had an auxiliary hospital that was independently financed by Mrs. Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney that was located in the College of Juilly. It was named the "American Ambulance Hospital B". Both hospitals were taken over by the United States Army once American entered the war in April 1917.
