Hello,
I wonder If You Could help me With Some information on what army units - Div Were at Villers Franqueux in the war, French & American forces, as i have 120 Negatives of the ruins of the town taken in 1918-1919 with the names of the house owners, the school, town hall and church.
Some of the pictures show a light railway line going up the Perron Street, where did it go to and where did it start from ?.
Here are some of the photos from the negatives.

Je me demande si vous pourriez me aider avec quelques informations sur ce que les unités de l'armée - Div étions à Villers Franqueux dans la guerre, les forces françaises et américaines, comme je ai 120 Négatifs ruines de la ville prise en 1918-1919 avec les noms des propriétaires de maison , l'école, la mairie et l'église.
Some of the images montrent une ligne de métro léger à monter la rue Perron, où est-il allé et où at-il commencé à partir.
Voici Avis certaines des photos à partir du négatif.

Hello, these photos are interesting. There are obviously some people who can help you on the forum. I think for example, to Achache, who knows well this region towards Reims.
Bonjour, ces photos sont intéressantes . Il y a évidemment quelques personnes qui pourront vous aider sur le forum. Je pense par exemple ,à Achache, qui connait bien cette région vers Reims.

Merci cd9362. I found a list of men who died in the area of Villers -Franqueux during the war on the Memorial Gen Web site and it gives the unit of them.

104th RIT, 35th RIT, 78 RIT, 24th RI, 28th RI, 148th RI, 229th RI, 239 RI, 363 RI, 6th RMT, 105th RAL, 109 RAL, 22nd RAC 9 Battery, 3rd RZB.
I found out the 104th was in the area from 1914 -1915.

Hello,
Here are the photos of the school Ecole, Town Hall Mairie and of the Mill Moulin where Lieutenant Davesne. Georges Louis Henri of the 1st RG, Projectors Division 3 Died on 04-25-1917.

Here are two photos of the railway passing though the village, are there any Aerial photos or maps of the area around Villers-Franqueux that might give me a clue of where it went to.

Le 26 septembre 1914, le 28e Régiment d'infanterie occupe le village de Villers-Franqueux près de Reims, il va subir plusieurs attaques des troupes allemandes venant de Loivre, voulant franchir la stratégique Route nationale 44.

C'est étonnant qu'il ait noté le noms des gens ! Vous Pourriez contacter la mairie de Villers-Franqueux ou les Archives départementales qui seront peut-être intéressés par ces photos .

Bonjour, Merci pour le lien CD9362. Je ai envoyé un mail à la mairie de Villers-Franqueux et nous espérons qu'ils répondent que je voudrais leur envoyer une copie de toutes les photos que je ai imprimé un livre avec les photos et quelques cartes postales en elle + une carte mais souhaitez tout de même trouver une carte en temps de guerre de cette région et une photo de l'air ainsi, donc je pourrais ajouter que dans le livre. Thank you for the link CD9362. I have sent a email to the town hall of Villers-Franqueux and hope they reply as i would like to send them a copy of all the photos. I have printed a book with all of the photos and a few post cards in it + a map but would still like to find a wartime map of that area and a air photo as well, so i could add that in the book.
