The ship in Caen is another "La Dives", a paddle passenger vessel of 200 GRT built in 1886 and scrapped in 1923!

Francis Dousset, Les navires de Guerre Francais, shows a picture of "Condorcet" just after launching (no. 59). No turrets, no funnels, only the bridge is almost completed. 1910 may well be the time the picture was taken.

Any idea as to when the picture was taken? The shis is not looking new, but I see neither the barrels of the heavy guns nor the 75 mm at the sides!

Excellent pictures, thanks for posting them.
But the second doesn't show the ship built in 1906, which in 1912 became the Austro-Hungarian "Venezia", but the "Venezia" of Fabre, built in 1907!
